good day every one i am going to look at a 79 scs and in looking at the 21 page thread seen 2 different pics of the pass side tire compartment door 1 with it attached to the truck but open and lots with the door removed completly [sitting beside the box on the ground] how do these doors work? is there pins on the door that slides into the bottom brackets and pivit up? what holds the door closed on top? closer pics would realy help thank you
there are two metal rods , one each side that hook at the top of the bed side hole, then turn and hook under the bottom of the door. its a pretty simple setup. would post picture of mine, but its completly rotted away and wouldnt help much. if 76scs sees this he should have closer photos, the kid has pictures of just about anything scs related
ok thank you i have a beeline on one and needed to know what to look for if i do get it than my collection is complete! as i will have all 3 body styles reg/supercab/and reg scs
heading out thurs morn will be there fri sometime from what i can see in the pics its a lariat air cruise tilt 16.5 tires 2 gas tanks little rust here and there but owner says its just surface all race track trim complete and does not look like any salt pitting windsheil new tinted glass 3.73 dana 70 if i had my way i would be leaving tonight! will advise as to the out come will show pics if someone will upload them for me [just cant figure it out for the life of me] regurds joe
