What paint did you use on the exterior? that is really sharp.

How did you do the interior wood paneling?

Overall, that's about the way i'd like my truck to look.

It seems you have air conditioning but you covered over the vents on the driver's side; why?
Does it not work? I like the "new" wood grain style you used to replace that older stuff (I think
the old is some sort of burlwood marketing term) but I'd be inclined to keep - and even make
work if necessary - the air conditioning. Just my opinion.

In any event, I like the outside paint! I ran across one of those aluminum tailgate trim pieces
in a junkyard a few weeks ago but it wasn't perfect (or even real good) so I left it.

thanks for the compliments!! fordnfishinlover and id1982f150i6 the exterior paint is acrylic urethane and clearcoat on that.the interior wood trim is just from a newer truck. ctubutis, i realized after about the ac vents. i went and had a buddy of mine check the ac since and it still had a charge!! i am going to get an ac belt and get that working. now i need to find the proper trim piece. that should be fun to find!! haha

That thing looks great! Why was the AC belt off in the first place? Might have a seized up compressor.

Looks nice! Is that a Ford code spec '80-'86 paint color, or something off the shelf?

bghnkinf250 the belt was off when i got the truck. it is not seized up and the ac system still had gas in it. i am guessing that the cpompressor clutch was noisy but not sure. i will know by next week though when i look at it.
newrider3,when i bought the paint it was ford code 9n. it was suppose to be the same color that was the dark brown in the middle of the truck before. i dont know if they messed up mixing it or what but that is the color. i didnt like it at first but it has grown on me. haha!!
fordzilla80, i didn't swap out a whole new interior.i got some used stuff and painted it and the rest of what was original.
thanks again for the compliments
