It will bolt on to the frame with no problems. But the dash assy may not be a direct bolt in between the 89 and 92. I am not sure how the 92 dash are bolted into the cab and how close they are to the 89 cab mounting.
Just this morning I did a cab swap on to my 84 F250 using a 90F150 cab, it took four of us to move it. It had the doors still attached but everything else was removed on the inside, we had no problems moving them around.

Ya right or wrong it just seemed like the older style cabs had more room - I know they didn't but it just felt like it
