Very informitive post on the Modular V-10 site on this fourm titled Compatibility issues of 06 V-10 into 2000 F-350. He removed a V-10 from a F-350 and installes a V-10 from an 06 Van. No lifting the cab or that mess just removed the engine and etc. An excellent post with pictures for those who are intrested.
The 6.0 swap could really get intense to say the least.
The 06 V-10 E-250,350 vans still used the 2V V-10
The reason this guy swapped engines is his old engine was loseing oil pressure. It being a V-10 must have had over a million miles on it for it to go bad.
Gotcha. So you have an expanded supply of replacement motors that are easy to change out? That's cool. It should help keep prices down and supply readily available.
I read somewhere last night that the V-10 is being phased out, like going going gone. It is no longer being put in the F-250 and is only being offered in the F-350, F-450 and F-550. This may or may not be a fact but thats the word thats out.
They probably have no choice but discontinue the 6.8 V-10. Osama just intoduced
new gas mileage standards that must be met for all large trucks and vans.
