I am going junk yarding this weekend... I have a list of the stuff I need for the MAF swap. Just need to know what other vehicles could I steal the computer from if there isn't a 88-93 Mustang 5.0 with computer out there this weekend???
Other vehicles, years, and compatable engines are really all I need... Or if there are other compatible computer numbers besides the A9L, A9M, A3M (from the 88-93 mustangs) would be helpful. Just wanted to get more computer info so I can find a computer on the first trip to the yard...
Look for Lincoln Mk7 or T-bird/Cougar Xr7 they also got the 5.0HO. Otherwise you could also use parts from a MAF F150.. typically found in '94 and '95 models.
Apparently those passenger cars did get MAF(I didn't think so but others have said they did), but in any case they did not get the HO motor(unless you find a Canadian police interceptor) so the computer will be programmed for 14lb injectors and a small MAF meter.
Oh so the computer has to be programed for the size of MAF meter... I didn't realize that... Well as long as I get a computer from the 5.0 mustang, MK7, T-Bird, or Cougar XR7, or the 94-95 F-150 w/MAF... I should be ok to get the MAF meter from any of those trucks or cars right...?
Idealy I would like to pull all the parts from a F-150 (F250-F350) but that may not be the case...
