Any pros or cons on cross flow radiators over down flow. I am installing a 460 engine in a 79 F-350 out of a 75 Merc station wagon. The station wagon had a cross flow radiator, but the F-series trucks only used down flow. Which one should I use?

The cross-flow design is more efficient, based on what I've read. The coolant can't flow straight down in them, it must migrate through each core tube between the side tanks. Guess it promotes full use of the surface area of the fins and cores on the outside whereas the vertical versions might allow stagnant cold spots in the corners or outermost cores. A vertical flow shouldn't hurt you a bit, though. If you're just putting together something stock for beating around in or whatever, you could get away with either, I'd imagine.
