Tuning questions
Ok, so when ford made our trucks, they started detuning engines for smog purposes. My truck (a 76) has a 73 390. I was wondering how ford detuned their engines for that year because I'm under the impression that my engine will most likely just have Ford's "retard timing" (4 degrees off) and that will be the only thing I'll need to do to get it at "full power". I use "" because I dont have the resources for a full rebuild and cant get nitty gritty with new rings, sludge, cleaning and tapering valves, etc...
