Glow Plug Light Question!

When I started the truck this am I waited for the glow plug light to go out, then turned the key to start and it came back on until I released the key. Starts fine, everything else ok. Does it everytime I start now?

Thanks for any help.....

I have never heard that one before. You are talking about the Wait To Start (WTS) light correct?

Yes, the wait to start light. I figured it was trying to tell me something, but I don't speak the WTS language. I guess I need to hook up the AE.

Thanks....

Still doing it. Never use to before May or so. No codes and running great. Actually since I got the new CPS from Ford I have been getting between 20 and 21 mpg with a smooth idle (knock on wood). I wonder if it is trying to tell me I have a glow plug problem not bad enough to throw a code. Maybe a relay problem? I wish I knew.

The WTS light doesn't illuminate for a trouble code, that function is reserved for the SES light. The WTS light just tied to the PCM as a reminder to for you to allow the glowplugs to heat up. It's not tied to your glow plug relay or a (if equipped) Glow Plug Control Module.

I don't "think" mine does this but I will have to look more closely.

I honestly don't look at my WTS light since I've hooked up my GPR LED.
