diffrences?

Ive got a 02 and just got a smoking deal on a 99.
Im not sure what to do with the 99?

Im thinking of just keeping it for parts but its a pretty decent truck so I dont know?

My question is , is there much diffrence between a 99 and a 02 or are most things interchangable?

need to know if it's a E99 or 99.5. If it's a E99 there are some differences but not a lot but it may have the forged rods instead of the PMRs

That's an E99. An easy way to tell visually (assuming it's stock) is to see if there's an AIH relay next to the GPR.

Here's a document that shows some of the differences between the E99 and later engines. Click the link and scroll down to the document that says "1999.5 DIT Engine Update".

Yep, I took that picture so vinford would have an example.
Sorry for no explanation, I'm not thinking clearly, haven't since the beginning of the week, not 100% of normal anyhow. Been sick, tonsils are sore and swollen. Ear conals itch a little bit, going to see a doc today.
