Blue smoke USUALLY means oil entering into the combustion mix somewhere. If you have a code reader check the codes. If not and you have an Autozone near you they usually hook you up and read the codes at no charge. Not much but its a start I guess.

While it is a good idea to see if there are any diagnostic codes in the PCM, oil in the combustion chamber usually will not cause a fault by itself. Things that can cause this are a fouled PCV valve causing oil vapor to enter through the intake, worn valve seats causing oil to enter from the top or worn piston rings causing oil to work past the piston from the crankcase. Since you say it occurs at startup and then stops after a short while the top end worn valve seat scenario is quite likely. You may want to ensure the PCV is working and that the vacuum line to it is tight and not leaking. How much oil do you add between changes? If it is more than about 1/2 quart low after 3000 miles check the compression of each cylinder to see if the rings and valve seats are worn.
