Hey,
Finally got my brakes working on my truck that i purchased last year and got it running! Now, i was finally able to get to the power steering, added fluid, let it sit for a little to get up to temp, and started bleeding it. I first turned to the right, no problem, and then tried to turn to the left. I put all my might in turning it to the left. Is there a reason it has no problem going to the right and not to the left? And it looks like there is a small leak in the, actuator?? Maybe thats what it is called. Or is that suppossed to happen when you start bleeding it.. Any pointer or help would be awesome! and i can post a picture of where it was leaking a little if that would help, just let me know!
You will need to work the steering quite a bit to work all of the air out of the system. It took me about three times actually driving mine before it was right.
I just recalled that it would seen to be worked out, then be hard to turn again. It took alot of turns, and I probably turned it lock to lock 20-30 times beofre dirving it.
