Ive got a 60 F100 with a 292 in it and was wondering what you guys recommend for oil and how many quarts does it take thanks guys

Assuming that it's in good mechanical condition and isn't burning any oil, any good quality 10W-30 oil would be fine, although it wouldn't hurt to look into a ZDDP additive. ZDDP is necessary to properly lube the cam lobes/lifters for the sliding friction that is present. Most of the ZDDP has been stripped out of modern oils due to government regulations. It should take 5 quarts with a filter change.

i'm using valvoline vr-1 it has full zinc and right now autozone is having a 1/2 off sale (til the end of the month i think)......i've depleted 4 stores so far .
^^Is that nation wide? I think I may go get some if so.
as far as i know it is.......also it says limit 12 but you can just pay for 12, then buy more after. the register will only discount 12 at a time per ticket. funny thing is the valvoline website has a deal also, buy 2 cases and the second case is free.
