sounds like a whistle tip. but anyhow maybe when they welded the exhaust there is a piece of welding wire that went in the pipe giving it the whistle tip effect.

i couldnt hear the sound but your engine does seem noisy.when was the last oil change?what oil was used?im wondering if it might be relative to the noise your hearing.

Is the noise ONLY from the tailpipe? Is the noise loud in the engine bay area?

It sounds a lot like my sister's Jeep with the leaking exhaust manifold...

I've seen a few guys on here post pictures and talk about cracked exhaust manifolds, psycho even posted a picture where it cracked in half!

I don't know much about valves or engine internal parts, but maybe something broke loose inside?

I can here it mostly coming from the exhuast. I dont thank i can here anythang up by the motor area. I even climp under it to see if the monifold connection was not seated right becuase i put the y pipe on it. It looks pretty good to me. Guess ill drive tell she blows got a 1985 that is pretty rusty so i can use motor out of it and scrap the other one.
