Is this truck worth the money?

Hey guys.. i'm new to the powerstroke forum, but ive been using this site for my 77 F150. Ive been lookin for a F250 powerstroke for some time now, and i ran across this on craigslist. These were previously work trucks from a local business. All have easy miles, none have any kind of tow packages. Theyre ugly *** hell, but very cheap. what ya'll think?

Yeah i agree with the color issue. He's got 5 of em all less than 200k miles. I just need something that i can tow with, and will be reliable. Ive got a 4x4, so I dont necessarily need to spend the extra. Also fuel mileage is a big deal too. The color would change. Quickly.

I am not too sure but i have heard that work trucks can be trouble cause they have things get neglected and things not fixed or fluids changed as often as they should. But if it all checks out to be good then you may have found a good deal

I dunno if I'd pay 4.3K for that, I don't like the color, I don't like 2wd, standard windows (no power), standard mirrors, does it even have CC and AC? Seriously? If you even consider that truck make sure you take a powerstroke guy with you that knows his stuff and look it over and talk him down. After all it was a work truck and from the looks of it you're going to be putting some money into it to make it look decent and to make it into the truck you want it to be.
It may also be a good idea to run a compression test on it. I would seriously look it over and if he didn't come down on his price keep looking around. I picked mine up with 184K for 6.6K but then again it needed a clutch, shocks, pads, rims and tires to start with.

I'd jump on that in a flash!
You can't bet the price for a solid 7.3 tow truck.
If you want something to show, maybe spend a little more.

I'm not sure what you are getting at... that is a Super Duty F250, regular cab long box.

Myself I like power options (windows locks etc) but IF it has been maintained thats not too bad a buy. Check out this guide for buying a used PSD.

I really appreciate the input guys. I think considering what i need, these will be fine. Being a poor college studen kinda eliminates the availability of a lot of options. Im going to check them out later this week, and ill post some pictures and let yall know how they look.

Color can be changed, so that wouldn't be a deal-breaker if I was looking. I would agree that you should check them over throughly, because they were company trucks. I think we all have a good idea about how some employees drive company trucks.
