When I did it, I just used the tip of a number 2 phillips screw driver and it seemed to work well.

Oh yeah, it was very easy. The hardest part for me was figuring out the programming sequence. Once I got that down (came with the key fob I ordered) it was a piece of cake.

sequence? i was in the understanding that once i jumped them, and entered programming mode all i had to do was hit a button on the fob and that was all...was that incorrect?

No that is correct I believe. The sequence is posted earlier in this thread. When I first started trying it, before consulting the forum, I was using the sequence for a newer F-series truck.

Lol. Sounds like a repeat of what I did. Left me scratching my head a bit and thought that my RKE module was broken.

Are you doing it with the key in the run position with the truck off?

Me? I've had mine working for well over a year now. I believe you turn the key to the run position then jump out the connector.

Check out post 16 of this thread.

when i tried it this morning i had the key in the Run position, but i guess the little wires weren't enough to jump the two. when i get a chancer here in a few hours i will try a screwdriver or paperclip or something

ok, so i tried it again, this time i heard the "clicking" that should be the doors locking/unlocking when i jumped the two...but they did not lock/unlock...and when i pushed a button it didn't do anything. not sure if it matters, but i noticed that on the bottom of the module (in your pic) i am missing the light grey connector, it's the one on the right...

Is there any way that you can take a picture and post it on here for some clarity? Is there something in the picture that I posted that matches what you have?
