What was your APR, and you have a 4X4, some of us quoted 4X2....however, it still looks like you paid a little much, A friend of mine bought a 4X4 Lariat 5.4 litre, FX4, nerf bars, and a turtle topper for $26,999 drive out.
REDRANGER- you do seem to have a large montly payment.
at the cost multiplied by 60 months, you are paying over $ 41,000 for your truck. that says to me that you either pay an extremely high interest rate, OR that you traded in a vehicle towards it that you owed more on, than the vehicle was worth. if so, you were "upside down" on your last loan, now you have no option, but if its just high interest you should be able to refinance and get a lower payment.

jeez! no wonder i cant sell my truck!!! and yes i did trade my 98 ranger in on it. but i was only about $2000 upside down on it. i gave $28,000 fer the truck. oh, and i did add my sales tax to the loan. i am not sure what the apr is. ill look tomarrow and see what i can find. i was thinkin that it was about 5.9% though. i know one thing, buyin this truck new is certainly a learning experiance fer me!
Anybody refinance their truck. I saw an outfit online, Capital One, www.capitalone.com offering a rate a few percent lower than I have. Got to look into it.
Put 11,000 down..borrowed the rest..about 20,000 at
0.9 % for 36 months = 611.00 per month...justified the payment
by noting that I only have 23 house payments left..so the house
and the truck will be paid off in 2005...God willing..

Peoplefirst.com is refinancing at

5.75% 37-60 months
6.35% 61-72 months
I borrowed for my expedition from them, and liked it so much i refinanced my pickup with them as well. The low advertised rates are attainable, i got the lowest on both my rigs. Apply on line and they call you back within minutes. They mail you a check within a couple days.
Im not usually one to advertise, but they were the easiest transactions ive ever made. You can check your ballance and everything online. No penalty for early payment. Cant find a problem with it.
$22,000...!?!?....My first house on 2.5 acres cost $23,000...!
Then again...at that time people were standing in line for a $5.00hr job....
$3000.00 for the truck, $8995.00 for the bike...free and clear...Ive never had the luxury to pay more than that for any transportation....But if I could I would...
It's hard for me to see a lot of you guys are paying more per month than what I have on some of my big trucks. That's really to bad. I know what is left of my mortage and I will be done in 4 years. And even that payment is less. Who says the economy is in the dumps. $500 and up truck payments......you gotta love your truck.
I am in the ZERO club as well. I have a small home equity line for a cushion should I want something newer than my 2000 Accord and 96 Ranger. I am toying with dumping the Accord for a newer Acura or Lexus. My Fords are all set. My 51 F-3 needs some paint this spring, and my 96 Ranger XLT has 70,000 miles and requires a little buffing. Of course the MG is perfect, as I knock on wood.
