sounds great.... you gonna start a post when the time gets closer? ill be there! should have my propane system by then, and with any luck the ats turbo down pipe and turn down.
Not ready to part with my IDI either but that is still pretty darn good if it proves to be true. Should know soon enough as more guys get them running.
Also means I might have to get more creative to get some more out of mine. Wonder how much it costs to refill the urea tank.
Last year-173hp/335tq
Today-186hp/363tq
Increase of-13hp/28tq
so what exactly was done for this gain?
just hypermax intake and matched BB code delphi injectors right?
nothing else was changed from last year? your boost was @ 6 psi too last year right? so this dyno run also includes 4 more lbs of boost then.
was the IP turned up last run too,or that also new to this run?

I've heard that it could cost $27-$35 a gallon. We are stocking it at O'reilly's right now, but it wasn't in the system to get a price just yet.

Last year the fuel was up 2 flats, it was up 3 flats for this run. Correct on the boost, and then the injectors, timing and intake.
thats killer.... theres a place about 40 miles from me. its like 150 for 3 runs. i dont think they could fit me though. its an above ground unit. i think id bring my 35's with me... throw em on right before i run it. give me a little help. i know these 42's are killin the power at the wheel.
I guess there is a silver lining in the recent recession and that is milage finally is starting to climb a bit.
I am troubled with the 16 mpg in the city, you would think they could have done better than that with all the technology.
The turbo is probably boosting pretty good during highway driving so that is one of the reasons for the higher efficiency for highway driving.
Dave, do you know what the compression ratio for the 6.7 liter engine is? Sounds to me like we are still about around 18:1 based on the city milage. Did the truck come with 3:55 axles? Any changes to the OD ratio? I always felt they could bump up the OD ratio a little more from an RPM/Hp point of view but that would probably push the mechanical integrity of the tranny due to all that low RPM Torque.
Sure would be nice to have 390 hp so...... Do I really need 390 hp - not really so my 93' will do me just fine.
The "390" hp reminds me of my old 390 cubic inch in my 1967 Ford Galaxy. It used to get just under 8 mpg. I was planning on putting twin turbos on it. Had the turbos sitting in my garage for years, I think I still got one of them kicking around somewhere.

Seb....
IIRC the 6.7 compression is 16.25:1 or somewere close to that, i cant remember for sure
