I bought my 02 in 06 with 40M I just about have it paid for and have plenty of salt problems. (from wisconsin winter roads) I bought new keystone fenders
and got a new take-off box from a 09. the question.... a lot of paint damage
from rock chips in wheel wells allows more salt damage. I have some
stainless protectors that came with the truck but they don't cover the inside edge of the wells, and crap builds up behind them and sits there festering.
does anyone have ideas on how to limit this from happening, I don't want
to put on those big "chevy" style flares. also I haven't put any of this on yet
because I would like to get it right the second time and make my truck look
nice for a few more years. Sorry about the length and thanks in advance
Don't know what to tell you on this. Don't really have too much of a salt problem where I live, but bushwacker fender flares seem to be a popular choice with most ppl. I'm about to put them on my truck cause all of the gravel from the roads where I live chips all sorts of paint off.
