Diesel Fuel
#16
I got online tonite looking for a hydrometer and found the info, thanks psd tech. I forgot about rotunda. The Ford dealer I worked for had one 20 yrs ago. I am up in the so called last frontier, where up until 4 months ago I could still by real #2 fuel, made at our own refinery 12 miles from my house. Well we have now unfortunately been forced to join the rest of the world, which now runs sulfurless fuel. Three things I have noticed being a diesel mech, is the loss of lubricity, rougher running, and the engine temp is higher. I made a 40 mile run today at 60 mph with my 1986 F-250, with a 30k mile fresh 6.9, timed @4 degrees. the temp was higher, holding just at or below thermostat temp. my truck normally ran between the O and R at 50 degrees. Now it runs R to M. and the ambient temp is 28 degrees. time to buy a J38641B. thanks yall
