Quad shocks?

I was just wondering if the quad shocks up front provide any real advantage in anything. I use my truck primarily as a offroading and mudding truck.

my truck is a 1987 f150 flareside with 8 inches of lift on 33sx12.5
It has the 300ci 6 cyl engine.

Sorry i wasnt very clear. I have them on there now..but i was thinking of switching them to the singles..

Oh I see. My recommendation is to stick with whichever one you have. There's no point in going through the work of doing a swap.

Nothing says you have to put all four on, either. Some run with just one on each side using only the one towards the back.
