Getting new shocks, but have a question about quad shock setup in 94 F150

I have a 4" lift in my 94 F150 and need new shocks. I was thinking bilsteins, but also looking at edelbrock IAS. I hvae a superlift superrunner system and it came w/ 6 shocks, but it seems like edelbrock doesn't make the quad shock setup only a single front shock setup. Are all the brands like this? I haven't checked bilstein yet for the quad setup. Should I still be using the quad shock setup?

I can't tell you what companies make what kits but I will say that unless you're doing some serious offroading that's getting your front end airborn or you have removed your sway bars you really don't need the quad-shock setup.

I did remove the sway bar. Would there be any issue w/ running an auxillary shock by another manufacturer?

You should not have any trouble mixing them, but I would not. Each company sets their damping rates different. You may break the perches.

I agree, best not to mix them up if you can help it.

You'll get as many opinions on this as there are members on this forum but personally I really like Rancho shocks. I have 9000 series shocks but 5000's would be far less expensive and will work great for a truck that runs mostly on the street.
