Testing Common on UVCH
I am in the process of diagnosing a smoke issue that i believe is either caused by the GP or GPR. I getting some readings on my DVM that are puzzling me a bit. I tried testing from the middle pin on 3 of the 4 connectors going to the injectors and GPs. When i go from this middle pin to a good engine ground I am showing an OPEN on the meter. In my internal logic this is not correct, can someone tell me where my logic is broken. My truck runs well, just smokes at start up, even when the temp is in the 50's overnight. After running down the road, say about 1 miles worth there is no smoke at all. The only other symptom is that if i don't let it warm up for 5 minutes or so, when i accelerate in 2nd gear (manual trans) the engine bogs down at just over 2000 rpms and spits a ball of white smoke, then runs on up like it should.
