So i installed a new Speedometer cable and i drove it about 30 miles and it broke again. Is there anything else that could be wrong

Did you check the gear on the tranny end? I put a cable in once and thought it failed again and the teeth were gone off the gear. If the cable actually broke again then something is in a bind on either end.
When it was working did it make any noise behind the dash or was everything fine? if the end wasn't in the square hole in the spedometer it may have been in a bind from being forced together. I would think it would have been noisey if that is the case. If not I am out of ideas.
I think it is best to put the gear on the other end first. Sometimes when you put the speedo end in first it can slip out while working the other end. You should still notice some extra effort to force the gear on if it slipped out of the speedo end. Just make sure it slides in all the way without force before tightening the nut down.

There is no need to replace the speedometer cable & housing assy if only the inner core snaps.
The speedo cable's inner woven steel core can be bought by itself from autoparts stores as a kit.
You cut it to length, coat it with a fine film of white lithium grease and install it in the housing.
The usual cause why the cable breaks, is...the grease dries out, the woven core then binds up inside the housing and snaps.
