Hey guys got a question for y'all.... I just picked a transmission for my mud truck, and cant figure out a few things.....
There is a vacuum body on the rear right side of the oil pan on the C6, is that for the kick-down???
Also, there's two linkages on the left side of the transmission, I'm assuming the one is for the gear selector, but What would the other one be for???
Thanks for the help guys!!!
The vacuum modulator is connected to engine manifold and controls the points when the transmission will shift.
One of the levers on the side is connected to the shifter in the cab and selects P,R,D and so on. The other lever is the kickdown lever and connects to the throttle linkage using a rod or cable.

So.... If I was going to run a fully manual valve body on the C6, the Vacuum Diaphram on the right side would not be needed and the kickdown lever on the left as well,...? Just curious as how far the kickdown lever on the left side will move.... I try to move it by hand and it only will move about 3/4 of an inch or so..... what would be the cause of that???
Thanks guys !!!
