new guy could use some help
i have a 1960 f250 4x4 and i found a guy selling a factory tach. i didnt even know that was a option in 60. any insight would be great. i would also love to find some good front fenders. love the sight, hope it doesnt take me to long to get up to speed, not real computor savy. thanks

Good to see you here, old trucks are fun.
Not a factory option for your truck. For F700 and up only.
The factory tach is a cable driven tach that was available on the bigger trucks with 302 (not the 302 you are thinking of), 332, (driven by distributor) and 401, 477, and 534 (driven by governor) governed engines.
Now, if you have the 292 engine, you can make it work if you get a tach drive distributor to fit the 292. Some 55 to 57 T-Birds had them, pricy items.

Thanks for the info, i was wondering if it came out of a bigger truck. the guy is gonna send me more pics, he said it had a clock to the right of the speedo to. i gotta get my kid to upload a pic of walt, i think everyone would get a kick out of it. thanks again
