Wiper Problem

Hi I have a 1979 F250.

I have done some reading on here and everything I have read says that my truck uses 15 in wiper blades. This works just fine for the drivers side but on the passenger side the top of the blade hits the weather stripping. Has anybody had this problem or know what I could do to fix it.

Thanks for any help.

15 is the correct size. What is the resting position of the blades? You may have to lower the starting point.

They rest pretty close to the bottom of the windshield.

How do you lower the starting point?

I would have to say either the arm, or the blade is not correct, it shouldn't hit the top on the up swing.

I have a 78 F100 Custom, I have 15" blades and they don't come close to the top, they miss by at least 2-3"'s, my question is this...it is somewhat related (sorry don't mean to hijack)...do they make aftermarket spray nozzles? Mine shoot straight out, would really prefer a "fan" type spray pattern. Again, sorry about the hijack.

Can you take a pic of the arms/wiper? Measure both.

2X on aftermarket arms. I have a 77 F250 4X4 and I guess someone needed mine worst than I did. I got trico replacements for it and the arms length is adjustable.

I had my dad look at the wiper arms and he figured out how to adjust them. I had messed around with them for a couple of weeks and he figured it out in 5 min. If anybody has this problem there is a lever that pulls out towards the windshield which allows you to adjust the length of the arm.

Thank You for all of your help.
