86 Ford ignition timing

Made some improvments to my sons 86 f150.Replaced carb with 81 model. Went to pull a part looking for a trans to replace the 3 speed. Didn't want to go with the 5 spd. at this time . Found a short bed 85 with a 4 sp. I got under the truck to check the trans and found a complete 2.5 exhaust ,flowmaster, and 2.25 dual tail pipes. Scored the exhaust,4sp trans, shifter, floor shifter plate, dura spark II dist, wiring harness, and napa coil for 175.00. Installed everthing and cranked it up . Son smiling from ear to ear but not the wife. What should I set the ignition timing at? I have it at 5 btdc @ 700rpm.

Bwahahahahaha!!!!

There should be a sticker on the radiator support (and sometimes also on a valve
cover) with that spec (mine is below) but 10* BTDC is a good starting point.
