Exclamation More light problems

Hey guys.

Well, I have new a new problem now.

My earlier problem, (driver side front turn signal staying on "high" while parking lights were on) was fixed by once again, flipping the bulb around. How that worked, I don't know.

Now, in an earlier post I talked about a bigger than necessary fuse going into the fuse box. I switched it. Still the burning was happening. So, after taking apart the entire dash, I moved a few wires around looking for my problem, and, I went to go check it again, and the burning stopped. ( I didn't change anything, just moved stuff around)

Now I have a new problem. When my parking lights are off, when I step on the brake, only one of the brake lights work.

When my parking lights are on? The opposite brake light worked, while the brake light that was on while parking lights were off stopped working.

Also! Whenever I put on a turn signal, (parking lights on or off) the correct on does its thing. However, the opposite turn signal starts to work as well. It's a slower rate, and not as bright, but it goes off. And when I turn the switch to the opposite side, the problem slides over to the other side.

Now, seeing this problem in the back, I went up into the front.

Nothing wrong with the turn signals in the front.

So, i'm stumped.

If I can't get this fixed by 4:00pm tomorrow, it will be another few weeks, maybe even months before I can get it inspected again.

I'm running out of cash and time...

What's going on?

It might, it might not, nobody here knows for certain as we haven't seen your truck, all we
can do is point you at places to look and teach you how to look for certain things that, based
on your descriptions, sound like they could/might be causing your problems. But, they also
might not be, it could also be something else or a combination of things causing your
problems. In the end, it will be YOU who finds and fixes the problem based on what YOU
find.

Bad turn signal switches can cause problems like you're describing but so can other things
(talked about in your other threads). Given that your hazard switch seems to be broken off
so that means you need a new switch, anyway, you might get lucky and find it fixes some
things. Sockets that can take bulbs either way are bad and should be replaced; your
headlight switch and associated wiring need attention, merely moving wires is not a fix for
anything.
