that will make a nice bump in power but nothing crazy. to get big power takes more money (cam, roller rockers, better ignition, head work, ect)

stock rockers are 1.6 and chevy 250ci 6 cylinder has 1.7 rockers so they give you more lift on the cheap (without buying a cam)

i thank you all again for all the info! what i am trying to do is figure out if i could get some more power out of the 300 or if it would be easier to do a engine swap? i do alot of towing with the truck and work it pretty hard. what engine would you recomend if i were to do a swap? i have a 1984 f150, 4x4, 4 speed.

I just picked up a 429 for my truck, I was gonna go 351 but the 300 uses a BB bellhousing so i figured what the hell, why not.
