Well I just ordered my Sylvania ZENARCs and was surveying the install, and started to wonder, how do I take the brushguards off of the pushbar?? There are 2 bolts that connect to each side of the center area main bar, but at the corners it looks like a screw with a plastic cap, but it is on the inside of the guard (facing the lights) and only has about a 1/2" of clearance. Boy was I even more pi$$ed to find out it was a TORX or an allen screw once I got the plastic cap off. I just shot off an e-mail to WAAG and am awaiting a solution, butI can't speak civillywere their designe engineers thinking??? Don't they realize that you need to remove the headlight assembly to even change the light if it burns out. It looks like I may have to remove the entire pushbar to accomplish this. I thought WAAG was supposed to be one of the better brands out there, but this design is the biggest cluster f*** I have ever seen. Anyone have any thoughts or suggestions on how to get the brush guards off???
That truly sucks...that was one of the reasons why i didnt add the bars over the lights. WAAG has been around for a while. I really dont have a solution, but i can definately relate. Hope it all works out for ya! Just make sure if you have to take the whole thing off again...replace those Torx with some normal bolts to save ya some future hassle.
SideNote: If you wanaa have some fun with Torx....try taking apart the Center Console....Argh ..what a headache, they're everywhere.
