Seat Compatibility

Ok ive been researching this for a while and it seems the more I look up the more questions arise. I have a 2000 F150 XLT Super Cab with cloth front bucket seats that im looking to replace with black leather. I know the models to look for are 97-03 F150 and Expedition which I have had no luck with. I found the exact seats I want but the junkyard said they were off an 04, i read that up to 04 1/2 and heritage will fit, is this accurate? I can obviously look at the bracket to see if its the same but I am more concerned with the seats being bigger, anyone know if the seats will fit? Also my current seats are manual but there is a small electrical connection under the seat, does this meant that my truck is already wired for a powered seat?

Any help would be appreciated

The heritage seats should fit, I think. As for the connector, you can test it with a volt meter. If the plug is powered, you should be able to use power seats.

its cheaper to put the wires in all cars or trucks and use if needed. I took seats out of a 99 Mustang and put into a 96 that did not have power seats... the plug was there and ready to go..... Also, i dont know if the 05-09 seat brackets are exactly the same as the 97-2003, but the width inside the trucks if very close. seat width should not be a problme.. i have taken bucket seats out of several cars and installed in older trucks, even if the brackets are different, it dont take much to retrofit.
