Rear alarm

2010 F150 XLT, love the truck except the rear alarm. I pull a boat and leave the hitch on all the time. This activates the alarm everytime I put the truck in reverse. I know I can turn it off but it resets each time. I would like to just turn the alarm off. Is there any way to do this? Thanks

wonder if there is a fuse you can pull, or just disconnect the plugs on the rear sensors?

a hitch shouldn't sound the alarm. Mine stays in and I have never had a problem. My dads and my step dads stays in also and their alarm never goes off

Did you try going into the "setup menu" in the dash display and setting it to off. I believe that would make "off" the default setting.

Reverse Alarm

Thanks to all that replied. Pulling the fuse solved my problem. The backup camera is on another fuse. Thanks again.

I've run into the same thing when hooking up the boat. I really hate having to go into the setup menu to turn it off, and then it resets the next time you start the truck.

My 2000 Navigator had a button on the console to override the beeper. Sure do miss it!

Thanks for posting the info about the fuse, but when I'm not pulling the boat, I do like having that beeper when backing into the garage, even with the rear camera.

you don't have to pull the fuse. Just push your select/reset button when the truck is in reverse

He wants it off MOST of the time because his hitch is setting it off.

I know, it sounds to me like the sensors are not adjusted properly or he has a hitch bigger than Texas...

Reverse Alarm

I know I can shut it off every time I backup. I wanted a more permanent solution. Pulling the fuse works for me. Thanks.
