I bought mine off ebay and mounted it right in the recessed area of the bumper above the hitch, using the center hitch hole, a screw, and a fender washer underneath. Here's the camera I got, I have 4 of them and they work well, the seller is easy to work with too.

I have 2 on my truck, one would probably be good on a pickup. Both were bought on Ebay. The lower camera uses a 1" hole, here is the lower camera pic:

Here is a night shot of my monitor with my upper camera:

I too have the Peak brand purchased (on sale) from Advance Auto Parts for $69. It came with everything needed including a suction cup mount that I put in the top left corner of the windshield so it is hidden with the visor down. The camera mounts to the liscense plate top two holes.

Yes, most just use a standard video plug.

Well I have the rear sensors factory, but added a new head unit that had the rear camera set up. So I just opted for the cheapo license plate frame mounted camera and it does fine for me. The cool thing is, I set mine up to come on anytime I wanted and not just when in reverse...so I can see anything haha.

It is a 10.4" monitor that clips on to the factory mirror. It has 2 video inputs, and the brand is Eonon. It was on Ebay for about $100, and is shipped direct from the manufacturer in Taiwan. It has held up great, it is on all the time when my truck is running. You can use it as a rear view when it is turned off.
