I have a Tekonsha Voyager. I do not like it with my 5th wheel. it seems so hard to get it adjusted. It has a **** on the left and the right and a slider in the front and no readout to help with getting it set.
I am looking for a simple unit that is very easy to setup and works for my 5th wheel. I would like to have one with maybe just one button that tells the trailer brakes how much "stopping force" I want and otherwise I just plug it in and go...
I love my P3, even if it is only a couple weeks old. It seems advanced, but is very easy to set up and use. the wealth of information it can give is well worth it if you ever have any problems. If you dont want to go that fancy, get the Prodigy. Check Adventurerv.net, they seem to have the cheapest prices around.
The Prodigy and P3 are very popular on this forum. I think you will find virtually the high-end controllers from any of the manufacturers will meet your criteria and provide more information than you will normally use.
It was very easy, the controls are very intuitive, up and down on the left, that controls your braking power. the button on the top left is the "Boost" button, if your trailer needs an extra kick in the brakes, and the bottom left is the menu button, colors, brake type and diagnostics readouts, battery volatage, brake amps etc... For the most part it is plug and play, especially as you already have a Tekonsha controller. It even comes with it's own little fuzzy pouch, like Crown Royal...lol
Not sure what others' experience has been, but I have found with both the above suppliers everything goes fine until there is a problem with a product, then everything shifts into "slow".
If it's a shipping or damaged product issue I could see the concern, but if it's a warranty/defect issue, then you would be contacting Tekonsha anyway. Everyone I have talked to has said they are nothing but helpful.

My issues have never been with brake controllers. Since many folks on the Internet do not maintain an inventory, there are times when things go amiss and there is nothing they can do until their supplier responds. Resolving issues simply varies with the type of product. Sometimes easy; sometimes a real pain. Most of the manufacturers are good!
Oh I know all too well, as we do business local repair shops and online retail, dropshipping can be a real pain somtimes. When everthing goes smooth it's good business, but all it takes is a very small ripple to screw with the entire work flow of the day.
Unless you have a trailer with electric over hydraulic brakes you can save by buying the original Prodigy - not the P3 - have now heard that there is a P2 also....in-between pricing. I too have dealt with adventureRV.... no problems.
