i got my droid from walmart.com for $20 with a new contract. SCORE!!
OH MAN, i can't top that, but i'd say i (we) made out pretty good after our upgrade.
2- Moto Droids
- 2 blue tooth ear pieces
- 2 cases
- 2 skins (purddy pink one for the wife, and the body glove for me, which sucks i already purchased a shell/holster for it)
- 1 pack of screen protectors
walked out of there for $119 (+ tax of course)
the cases were a impulse buy, but i've already sold those, ditched the body glove skin for mine, got the verizon shell/holster via ebay.
get a zagg screne protector. guaranteed for life. like this but i didnt get the full body as i have a body glove case. they make em for the incredible and others
this Storm has almost seen the bottom of the river a few times. Is the droid really like the I phone? I remember the sales people at verizon telling me that the STORM was way better than the i phone. ..
I can't speak for the storm, but I've got one friend who comes over to the house, whips out his cool iphone and shows us his new paid for app. Shortly after that 5 Google G1s pop out(we all have one) and each of us has found and downloaded the same app(by name or purpose), free of charge. And the Iphone doesn't have sh_t on the Droid Google Maps. I can remember life without my wife, my job, even my tools, but everything before my G1 is a blur.
I got the Storm and I'm not really that happy with it. I mean the thing works good and has plenty of apps and etc. But these things are a pain to dial, a pain to text and a pain period. Nopeee I'll never get used to it. My wife didn't even try over 3 days on hers she gave it to my son and bought a Blackerry Curve.
Wish I had gotten a Droid.
I think Verizon is comming out with an I-Phone I may very well get one of those.
verizon's answer to the iphone IS the droid line up...... "iphone" is still under current contract to be exclusive to at&t till late 2012 (from what i've read).
BUT believe it or not you can hack the iphone to run off the android network (what verizon runs off of), a lot of iphone users are doing this (once again from what i've read) for better networking and better apps.
I guess I'm the odd dude out here. I have Sprint and presently have the BB.
I hate it more and more each passing day. There's not a time that while traversing one of our many bridges, I didn't dream about shoing it the bottom of the Bay or the mouth of the Gulf of Mexico!!
Does anyone know what Sprint has that's comperable to the Droid?
I'm due an upgrade in August (if it lasts that long)
I second Grec-O. Time to vote. Wait, if we get an app, does that mean we have to get one for the iphone junkies too?
They can have one - I don't mind. I say share the wealth.

I'm pretty sure Sprint can still be had through a Droid-based phone. Check the web.
