Are those weights under my Excursion?

Just bought a 2000 Excursion Limited 4 x 4 and saw two brackets hanging underneath. One towards the front and one towards the back. They appear to just be bolted on with steel "weights" bolted to them. What are they and why are they there? Thought someone might know. Thanks everyone!

NOISE VIBRATION AND HARSHNESS!

Do all caps make me an angry poster? I just like giving info to a question...not repointing people to searches for simple things that are not always talked about...so there! LOL! Sorry...back to my quiet lurking status.

Google it??? Wow. I thought this place was about helping people.
I don't know what the big secret was, just say the weights are there to help reduce vibration.

WOW!!! Everyone got their little feelings hurt. Guess I should have put a little smiley beside what I said for you?

It's so easy to look things up for yourself now with high speed internet and google and considering that everyone posting on here is already on the computer, I was a little surprised to see that question asked. Sorry if I came across as a jerk but I was kind of just joking around.

Here, I'll do it for you:

Let me google that for you

lol
