fry pan into the fire !! LOL!!
I need a steering connector, rag joint for my 1976 F150 2WD 3 on the tree NON P/S. Local dealer looked up D6TZ-3A525-B, is this correct? NLA nationwide.
Fits: 1976/77 F100/350 2WD with M/S (manual steering) / 1976/77 F100/150 4WD with M/S / It doesn't make any difference if it's an A/T or M/T.
I found exactly ONE, but since you repaired your original using the autoparts store rubber kit, you prolly don't need it.

Uh huh...this is only the rubber portion you're speaking of, sold at autoparts stores, it's not the complete FoMoCo coupler.
Ford only sold the complete steering coupler (rag joint) and it can be: Year specific, M/S or P/S specific, 2WD or 4WD specific.

Genuine Ford 4WD originals are nearly impossible to find NOS.
The 4WD's shaft and coupler assy's used on 1976/79's are totally different than prior years because they are a one piece assembly.
Prior years, there were 21 separate parts of the 4WD's steering shaft & coupler.
There were no rag joints used on 1975 and earlier 4WD's, the shaft and coupler attached directly to the gearbox with a clamp.
