I was under the truck a few weeks ago and noticed that my stabilizer is bent and leaking. My local parts store carries KYB. Does anyone have any feedback on them? The price is good, 32.99 plus tax. I was looking at Rancho, but I have heard that they don't really last any longer than any of the others, so why shell out the extra moola for it?

KYB makes a lot of stuff for OEMs (the struts on my Subaru, for example) so I would think it's worth a try.
If it's the ball joints, it's likely that they won't squeak with the vehicle weight off of them.
Good point.
It's funny because I kind of forgot about the squeaking. I'm sure it's still there, but it got hot enough here that I've had the windows up and A/C on for a while now, and haven't really noticed it.
I'd check your hub bearings as well. Also the rubber mounts for your swaybar to axle connection can squeak alot, spray some WD40 on them and see if it goes away. i also had a squeak that came and went and ended up being the e brake was sticking.
Welp, I finally got to the bottom of my squeaky steering. Thanks for the suggestion to check the firewall boot - that's what it ended up being!
I can't believe how much noise this little booger was making. But after a couple applications of grease it is smooth and silent. A word of warning, though: there's something sharp in there. I mangled my finger pretty good packing the grease in. But the pain was definitely worth it!
