I hear ya. But it shouldn't be too bad. And it will be well worth it IMO.

James I seen them on ebay but they were ending in a few days and this was about 3 weeks ago when I seen them. I just go to Ebay motors and type in 7.3 intercooler.

Keep your eyes peeled. I was able to get a 7.3 IC take-off with 6.0 pipes and a couple boots from craigslist for $80. I installed it. Now I gotta get busy and figure out how to move all the stuff outa the way on the pass. side. I bought the SD cold pipe from Ford. I still don't know if it's gonna bolt in or need mod.

The SD pipes do need modding. I had to add an extension at the spider and double boot it.

Short and a little out of align up at the top. The double set of boots made up for the alignment problem. I made up a couple of short pipes with a wire welded around the ends to help keep the boots on. It works but some don't think its very professional. Some hotshot at TDS a few years back made a crack about it and I just told him that I wasn't a trust baby like he was!

Alright sweet, so nothing a couple sets of boots and some extension piping wont fix right?

And nice response to that guy! Some people just aren't as fortunate as others. Some people gotta work for it. Shed some blood sweat and tears and lots of hard work.

I'll take a lot at how long the extention pipes are I made and report back tonight. I'm guessing they are four to six inches. I used welding rod (without the instalation of course) around the ends of the pipe, welded and ground it down smooth so the boots would not fly off under my extreme high boost of 70psi, ha ha.

I went out and checked, boy is my memory off, they are only two inch's long. Just enough to double boot and correct the misalignment.

Hey, i recognize that truck... Your on our fb page!

And its not too bad to find this stuff, i just want to find it the cheapest i can. I actually know a guy on Ebay that sells direct pipes for our trucks using an early 99 spider but im convinced i can do it cheaper. And with the help of Glenn, if i can scrounge up some SD pipes and maybe have him take a picture of his pipes, i figure i can mod those pipes for 1/4 of the cost of those direct fit pipes on ebay. And local craigslist and junkyards it sounds like will be your friend for finding a 6.oh cooler. It's all out there, you just gotta find it. The hardest part is the spider. But again, its out there.

Glenn, no worries, Its not a beauty contest, just needs to work. So are those unmodified SD pipes, like no cutting sections out of the middle or anything? They are just SD pipes and some modifying at the boots there with a bunch of clamps? Sorry for all the ?'s, im just trying to get all the info i can. Thanks a bunch for the pictures too!

I have a set of SD pipes that I got when I did my intercooler, but I didn't use them, and just got the Banks pipes and intake.
