Unbelieveable! An ebay ad with the correct information.

C6TZ14401AD .. Dash Harness / Obsolete / No Ford Dealer or obsolete parts vendor has any.

Fits: 1966 F100/250 2WD from serial number 788,001 to serial number 858001 / Use w/all Ford amp alternators & Leece Neville 60 & 65 amp alternators.

Note: This harness does not fit all 1966 F100/250 2WD's. It only fits the trucks within this serial number range. There are two others:

C5TZ14401BE .. Dash Harness / Fits: 1965 F100/250 2WD / 1966 F100 4WD / 1966 F100/250 2WD before serial number 788,001 / Same alternator info applies.

C6TZ14401DM .. Dash Harness / Fits: 1966 F100/250 2WD from serial number 858,001 / Same alternator info applies.

No Ford Dealer or obsolete parts vendor has these two harnesses.

I took a look at his web site. I don't know if I like this guy or not. Seems to take a lot of nice complete vehicles and then parts them out rather than letting them go as a good restoration project. A basket case I could understand but nice 100% intact trucks or cars is another matter...

yes I know...its a sad thing...regardless of the kind of car/truck...I also agree selling a rig as a whole as a project is a wiser choice...once they are gone they are gone...

I feel the same way, BUT, where else would nice original parts come from? Especially parts that commonly failed, wore out or rotted away that "everyone" with a certain vehicle seems to need. Certainly not from long neglected field relics.
You can't save them all, but it's far better that the parts go to restore another viable vehicle than be scrapped and totally lost. If every one was restored, there wouldn't be enough of the "rare" parts to go around.

I don't like it, but it's a sad reality. Classic cars/trucks aren't the only items that suffer from this dichotomy.
I collect and restore pre WW-II radios and electronic gear. There is often little aftermarket support for those items and sometimes the only source for a hard to find part is from another viable set that gets parted out.

Sometimes, parting out one restorable car/radio/clock/railroad car/tractor/ computer/building/etc. can enable many others to be restored.
