that's my plan, that's exactly what I do everytime the craveing bites me, and I refuse to give in

I suppose your right but why temp it. I couldn't possibly do my job as efficiently as I do if I were a smoker. I'd be hacking and gaging all day long. A few guys that I work with smoke and I just don't see how they do it.

Aside from my personal accomplishments in the military, quitting nicotine was my single best thing I ever did for me. It is so cool to be a non smoker after having smoked for 16 years.

Hey Stu, I work at NNSY, so you know I work around a ton of smokers. I think that we may have a smokers cessation program I could go to if I went through the base dispensary, I'm not 100% sure on that though.

It's been a week and I'm doing just wonderful I must say.

You're doing great so far...
Me & the wife both quit for New Year after smoking for 15 & 17 years respectively.
I finally decided myself that it was time to quit - I wasn't being told by the government or anyone else what I should or shouldn't do. It has to be your decision for your own reasons and you have to be 100% that you want to quit otherwise it's doomed to failure. Once my decision was made, I actually found it a lot easier than expected.
The first week was the worst for keeping hands busy while watching TV in the evenings - after that, the habits started to die off.
We've both been out for a 22km cycle ride tonight and I did 15km offroad mountain biking last night - something neither of us could have dreamed of while on the ciggies.

Hang in there - it only gets easier.
