'88 exaust on a '91

'88 exaust on a '91
I have 2 trucks, an 88 extended cab long bed 460/AT, and a 91 extended cab long bed 351W/AT.
Same trucks, different year, motors and colors - otherwise identical. The '88 is a parts truck as the 460 overheated and froze up.
My '91 has a bad exaust leak that I think is comming from the cat. I was thinking of just yanking he exaust from the '88 and putting it in the '91.
Would this work if everything is factory?

oh no. I just want to use where the pipes connect to the manifold back. If the Y pipe will not work then from the cat back if I can (I think my cat is welded in though)
