Small Trucks??
Have you looked at the Toyota Tacoma, it is larger than the Dodge Dakota and nothing like the little trucks they used to be. The Chevy Colorado is also getting pretty big. The Nissan Frontier is still kind of small.
Most people, me included, don't need a full-sized pickup. I have my F250 because of the family history and really like it, but I almost never need or use it to its capabilities. We used to have a little Toyota Tacoma that was great for almost everything. It was an extended cab with a great 4cyl engine that got up to 32mpg on the highway. There were only two times in 12 years where we needed a larger truck, so I rented a Ford from Uhaul.
With how gas is going up, wouldn't it make sense for the truck makers to go back and think about making a small, inexpensive, tough, useful little truck? I see Ford has brought its smaller Transit work van over from Europe. They seem to be selling pretty well. What do you think?
