where does the check valve go on this one? carb tag says C 3TF H There isn't one.
From the 1957/63 Ford Truck Parts Catalog:
C3TF-H = C3TZ9510U .. 2V Auto-Lite Carburetor / Section 95.14 / Parts list #14A
C3TZ9A586A .. Carburetor Kit (later replaced by D4AZ9A586A [Motorcraft CT499D].
C4AZ9576A .. Accelerator Check Valve / Use with carb tag codes: C4TF-AE; AH; AJ; BM; BR; BS & C6PF-N.
In other words, the check valve was not used with the C3TF-H carburetor.
btw: The post you quoted in Post #15 was originally researched and typed by myself...for FTE member 64 F-100 in response to his inquiry about his carb.
There's only a couple of members in this forum that have the Ford truck parts catalogs. Usually, only myself and Don (camperspecial65) post part numbers from them.
I don't remember what brand was on it but it came from a local parts store.
did you blow the passages out with compressed air
I did not use air but I did use a can of carb cleaner with the straw and blew through all of the holes and they all seemed clear. I guess I should have used air also.
