1988 F250 - From a stopped position, when turning hard, I have a loud noise coming from the passengers side wheel well area. I can replicate the noise by putting the truck on a uphill slope and turning slowly into the slope. The noise is not a metal grind by rather like a rubber bushing grind. I can't seem to reproduce the sound by jumping up and down on the fender or any other side to side pushing.
I had a front end shop look at this yesterday and they found a bad tie rod end (on the driver's side) which helped the trucks drive ability greatly but did nothing to address the weird noise.
Rotors, pads calipers, bearings all new.
Any thoughts?
Figured it out. The left side fender where it bolts down from the top just inside under the hood was the place. In frustration I pushed sideways on the fender yesterday morning, heard the nasty squeak, popped the hood and saw a piece of rubber sandwiched between the two body sections. The bolts were about a half turn loose - and that did it. I hate squeaks!
