Now you need one of Pete's covers for that filter.
Doesn't putting a cover on the filter defeat the purpose of all the extra airflow? Any cover that actually does it's job of acting as a pre-filter is going to reduce airflow.
Ahh, I see you added the 6637 to your first post Matt, I thought we had a bigger and badder Baldwin out there... To jh225 above, those filter covers thats mentioned above won't restrict any airflow, the type of material the originator uses is a flow thru material, I got one made for my oiled element and you should see all the grime it picks up, plus it looks great.
Pete, who makes them, has had them tested to see if they restrict air flow. They allow 99% of the air flow an un-covered filter allows and that is with the decal. In 11,000 miles I've washed my cover once and it was unbelievable how black the water coming off it was.
i order a Baldwin 6637 air filter from Clay and this thing is as big as a 5 gallon bucket!! i know they where big but this is insanely big. i cant wait to get it in. thanks for leeding me to this filter.
