P0446 code help

P0446 code help
I HAVE tried to find my charcoal canister to replace the vent control valve to get rid of this code. I have a 2007 Explorer - Eddie Bauer with the 4.6 V8. Is the thing above my gas tank or above the spare tire? If it's above the gas tank - how do I get at it? Any help w/b appreciated.

Yes, I have already tried the gas cap replacement - did not do/change anything. I have a code reader and have "re-set" the computer more than a few times - she pops right back with good ole P0446 ! I have tried to follow the lines from the gas filler pipe and just thought someone would know where/how to get at the canister to 1) clean it and/or 2) replace the vent valve?
