Leaking Windshield After Offroading??? Possible??

Good Morning Guys,

Recently I took my 2008 F-250 FX4 down some logging trails. After hitting a washed out section of the road, i found myself stuck in some pretty thick mudd. As anyone would do, I attempted to get out of the mudd and was unsuccessful. As the tires slipped and gripped, there was a lot vibration but no adnormal ware on the truck. Ive driven the truck for a week since and believe I hear a few new rattles. This morning while driving through some bad rain storms, i noticed water leaking from the drivers side of the windshield. The water is dripping from behind the plastic trim which seperates the drive door and windshield. I was towed out by a larger F250 using a winch attached to tow hook in my trailer hitch. Is it even possible that the offroading experience has any relationship to the new leaking windshield?? Ive heard in the past that engine torque could teak the firewalls, resulting in cracking or leaking windshields, any thoughts?

Thanks!

Charlie

Never ever had a problem...If you are under warranty then I would take it and have them reseal it.

I would not mention off-roading a week ago either.

Totally unrelated in my opinion.

If you intend to go in and NOT mention off roading a week ago... you may want to spend several HOURS under your rig making sure there is no proof of you being "mudding".

Worst case scenario... tell them you were driving the logging road for work purposes and yes... there is some mud spots.
