Need some help with the timing.

Hey everyone, I got a 86 f150 EFI with a 302 and I'm hearing two different things about the timing. One is that the timing can not be adjusted because it adjusts itself. And the other is it can be adjusted but I'm not sure how to do this. Any advice on this would really help me out. Thank you

from what i know of these trucks still learning.
you can set the base timing get the truck up to operating temperture turn off. disconnect the spout connector single wire connector in front of the distributer. start the truck, set the timming to 10 degree's some say 13. turn engine off reconnect spout connector. there is no setting of rpms or anything like that

thats pretty much it. if you try turning the dizzy with the spout still in (little square inline connector just downstream of the dizzy) the computer will compensate for it.
