I've got an '02 F350 7.3L that has an 'gremlin'. Have tried everything, then after reading a few threads on this website, decided to try to replace the valve cover gaskets and wires. Ordered the kit and have it now, but my problem is that the new wires that need to be spliced into my existing harness to not match in color. On the package, it lists the OE wire color that should correspond with the 6055192-A wire color...but the wiring harness I took off my truck has totally different colors. WHAT!!?? Is there a engine wiring diagram out there? I haven't been able to find it.
Thanks....need this truck fixed so I can haul my camper. Time to fish!
Well... I got the valve cover gasket kit from Rockauto.com and it appeared to be the correct part for my truck. Part # 6055192-A. I did research it to make sure before I bought it and the connectors look the exact same as the ones in my truck now (long narrow oval shape that is blue, purple and black in color) The only difference are the wires coming OUT of the connectors that run to rest of the engine harness. What I have is the gasket itself AND the pigtails, so they need to spliced into my harness. I just don't know what colors go together.
